Locally manufactured products always have my support as who can understand more skin and weather conditions of our skin? Of course! our fellow Pinoys! We are getting known to produce natural based products because of our abundance in agriculture such as food supplements. Skincare is no exception to this growth.

Pure Castile Facial Wash - Cleanses and removes deep-seated dirt without harming the skin. designed to keep skin pH at optimal levels, enabling it to fight off irritants and acne causing bacteria. Suitable for people with sensitive skin and skin problems. Can be used for babies and infants. Use before toner, serum and balm.
This is my first time to use this kind of wash although Castile is much of a raved product. Castile is used widely for babies and people with ultra sensitive skin because this is well known for the absence of synthetic ingredients. I didn't have a chance to try this product until it came with the apothēkē set. It looks like a clear gel wash and smell with a hint of the common oil (to odorless, it is that unnoticeable), YES they went as natural as that. My sensitive olfactory nerve did not bother me at all. It did not foam that much, but it produces a minute amount of bubbles. It is easy to wash. A squeaky clean feel after wash but not drying and tight.
Firming Toner (witch hazel and rose petal) - Clears and cleanses, tightens and brightens skin tone. Closes pores and firms up the skin without drying.
Awwww. the first thing i noticed was the smell ----- the natural rose scent, as if you are holding a bouquet of rose. This toner come in a spray bottle which we can just spray on our face or use a cotton pad whichever we feel comfortable of. This is non sticky, non drying, and non alcohol based type of toner. Witch hazel is known to balance pH levels to prep our skin to the next skincare step.
Niacinamide 10% - Minimizes lines and wrinkles. Restores skin radiance. Reduces blemishes, calms breakouts, and unclogs pores. Combats oily skin by balancing natural sebum levels. Improves skin barrier function, preventing it from losing water and protecting it from pollutants and irritants. Protect skin against damage from sun exposure.
Popularly known as Vitamin B3, for skin it improves pore size and its elasticity. Its comes in a pump container and it is in a thick liquid form and smells aloe vera as it is the partner ingredient. It is absorbed by the skin well because it feels so fresh and airy after application
Brightening Night Serum - Powerful brightening night serum, significantly inhibit melanin production, makig skin lighter in just 30 days.
The texture is more like a facial oil to me and it smells citrusy without the "it went to my head smell". Even if it is oil, it has a thin feel to it while spreading into my face. I actually rub it both on my hands and applied in a light tap-tap motion. It is really relaxing this way whilst smelling the lemon and lavender on my face.
They promised to have a permanent whitening effect
Skin Doctor - Eradicates and prevents acne, scars and blemishes, smoothens skin + ultra nourishing, heals damaged skin, antibacterial.
This is my favorite product! I really must be a bias of lavender scent LOL. This heals my pimples especially during the days of the week where my hormonal friends wants to hang out with me. This helps tame them and avoid inflammation and further avoid break outs without the fear of microbial resistance. It comes in a big tub of balm, a little goes a long way. Actually, this is a multi purpose natural antibacterial product that can also be for eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, and itchiness.
Detoxifying Facial Mask - Strong detoxifying volcanic clay, pulls oil and bacteria from dermis, exfoliates dead skin cells, tightens skin, shrinks pores and normalizes sebum production
Who does not love mask? This is a bentonite and activated charcoal combination clay mask. Just mix it with water, set on face for a few minutes. It has a cooling effect that will help minimize pores. There are some coarse bits to it, but it does not bother me coz there is no need for us to scrub our face for this pack. Surprisingly, it is not messy, it dries up adhered to my face well. I can do some other stuff while waiting it to be fully dried. It's easy to rinse and it took away my excess sebum without the tight feeling. You can use this once a week for its maximum benefits.
Overall thoughts
All of the products are effective contrary to some set back of natural products may not be as effective as chemically prepared stuff. I love all the scent of their products, there were able to balance the ratio for effectiveness and pleasant smell. The scents adds up to the calming spirits while doing my night routine. I really feel that those scents are also sending internal brain signals for our body to heal on its own. I really love the Skin Doctor i helping me out on my monthly breakouts plus, helping me out in the dark spots it left me behind.
The company is also promoting a sustainable living by taking smaller steps in minimizing the use of plastics by using glass, tin, and box packaging. Although some of their products is in a plastic amber container. The journey to a thousand miles begins with one step.
